It’s odd that since we’ve been working full time on Strange Flavour, we’ve actually had less time to update the website. I’ve actually started a blog on our Applefritter.com forum area at http://www.applefritter.com/blog/3057 This at least gives me somewhere to rant about whatever’s working or not working at the time.
I managed to get the update for Airburst Extreme together while working on ToySight Gold. Sorry it took so long to get fixed and released. Given some of the bugs that it fixed, I really wanted to make sure they were fixed before the update got released.
Now ToySight Gold’s out, it’s onto the next project. Check this page in another 3-6 months!

First of all a big thank you to everyone who emailed us with congratulations, good wishes etc. It means a lot to us and greatly lessens the probability of one of us thinking “What on earth were we thinking! Quick, get me the number of a recruitment agency!” :)
Settling into the routine of being full time Mac game developers now. The first few weeks have involved all sorts of minor hassles and distractions, but not too surprising seeing as we were setting up a new company, moving from one end of the country to the other and writing a game at the same time :)
Airburst Extreme is starting to come together now though. We’ve slipped a bit past our original planned GM date (something we’ll be taking a look at in our project postmortem, which I’m hoping to put on the newly resurrected iDevGames.com site), but we’ve got a playable game now with most of the game types done and all the new powerups in. Adam’s working on some of the Jaffa Mountain tracks this week and we’ve had a great Airburst song from Les Carter of Abdoujaparov (www.abdou.co.uk) and we’ve got music incoming from Freekstar (www.freekstar.com) too.
Now we’re getting to the stage where we’ll be nailing stuff down for the GM, I’m planning the Airburst Extreme demo. Current tests are indicating that it will be in the region of 27-30mb in size. I’m trying to keep that as low as possible now that I’m feeling the pain of being stuck on dial-up too! We’ll be concentrating on going GM first, but as soon as we’ve done that, look for the demo!
We’re also in the planning stage of transferring our website and downloads over to Freeverse’s new XServe. This should mean much better download speeds for our updates and demos, although there’s likely to be a few days of DNS weirdness and such when the transition actually occurs.

Well, we finally made the jump and took Strange Flavour full time! Having partnered with Freeverse, we've now got the ability to work full time on Mac only games (if we do branch out into doing console games at some point, they'll still be Mac first).
Things are mildly hectic here at the moment. Apart from the rush to complete Airburst Extreme for a summer release, we've also moved house to get away from the hassle and expense of London. Unfortunately, this also means we've been offline for a couple of weeks as the new place we've rented had to have the phone line restored, but if you're reading this, we're probably back :)
Hopefully, as time allows, we'll both be updating this page with notes on the projects we're working on.
