The
Airburst Power Up Tip Sheet
A lot of Airburst players will have worked out what
most of the power ups in the game do by now, but we've had
quite a few requests for some hints as to what all the
power ups are. So here's a definitive list of what each
power up does...
Freeze Bat (Ice Lolly)
Locks the player's bat in position for a short period of
time
Freeze Player (Ice Cream)
Stops the player moving and locks the player's controls for
a short time
Breeze (Radish)
A light gust of wind starts to blow the players across the
screen
Popgun (Apple)
Gives the player 10 rounds of ammunition for his popgun. As
with mines and cluster bombs, popgun bullets can only burst
shield balloons, not another player's floater balloon.
Multiball (Bunch of Grapes)
Adds another ball (up to a maximum of 8).
Sticky Bat (Lime)
Makes the player's bat sticky so a ball can be caught and
aimed before it is released again.
Big Bat (Water Melon)
Makes the player's bat bigger.
Ickle Bat (Cherries)
Makes the player's bat smaller. If the bat is reduced below
the default size, the effect will wear off after a short
time.
No Bat (Lemon)
Nasty! Removes the player's bat for a short while.
Hard Ball (Coconut)
Makes the ball harder so that it will burst 2 balloons
before rebounding off a player's shield balloons.
First Aid (Muffin)
Repairs some of the player's shield balloons.
Armour (Sweet)
Strengthens the inner ring of the player's shield balloons
so that they can survive 2 hits each.
Speedball (Cola)
Speeds up the ball and increases the maximum speed it can
get to (the ball always gains speed slowly, but its maximum
speed gets faster on each level).
Slowball (Tea)
Slows the ball down for a short while.
Googlie Ball (Jelly)
Makes the ball bounce off the sides at more random angles
making it less predictable.
Mines (Plum)
Mines spread out from their spawning point until they drift
to a standstill. When hit, a mine bursts a shield balloon,
but won't damage the player's floater balloon.
Cluster Bomb (Sour Grapes)
Cluster Bombs work like mines, but keep bouncing around off
the sides until they hit a shield balloon.
Thruster (Blueberry)
When a players activate a thruster, they are propelled
around the play area in the direction their bat is facing.
Wrap (Orange)
Wrap switches off the ball's normal behaviour of bouncing
off the sides of the play area, making it wrap around
instead.
Deathmatch (Skull)
Deathmatch instantly bursts all the players' shield
balloons except for the inner ring. If a second deathmatch
is triggered, it will burst *ALL* the players' balloons
except for their floater balloons.
Tag (Pineapple)
When Tag is triggered, a specially trained high altitude
woodpecker appears in the play area and starts bursting the
balloons of the player who triggered the Tag powerup. When
any player loses a shield balloon, the woodpecker moves to
that player and starts bursting their balloons instead.

X2 X3 X4 X8 X16 multipliers(Treasures)
When a player gets a multiplier bonus, all their points
scored are multiplied by the bonus. If that player loses a
shield balloon however, the bonus reverts to normal X1
points.

1000, 10000, 100000 , 1 Million Points (Gems and Ring)
Straightforward points bonuses. These can be multiplied by
the above multiplier powerups too.
Well, that should give you some insight into the powerups
in the game. Use the information wisely :)
